History and context

Why this matters

UNESCO describes Stone Town as an outstanding example of a Swahili coastal trading town and notes its cultural fusion over more than a millennium. It was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2000.

How we use it in an itinerary

Use Stone Town before beach days when the client wants Zanzibar to include culture, history and coast time.

Planning fit
