This six-day private safari brings together three of Tanzania’s defining wildlife landscapes. Start with a gentle arrival in Arusha, explore elephant country in Tarangire, spend two nights in the Serengeti and finish with a crater-floor game drive in Ngorongoro. Optional walking safaris, a hot-air balloon flight, a Maasai village visit and Olduvai Gorge can be added when they fit your dates and permits.

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your professional driver-guide welcomes you and transfers you to Arusha. Use the first afternoon to rest, meet the team and prepare for the days ahead before dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for morning and afternoon game drives among ancient baobabs, elephant herds, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo and more than 550 bird species. Follow the Tarangire River, where wildlife gathers in the dry season, or add a permitted walking safari. Continue to Karatu in the late afternoon for dinner and your overnight stay.

Travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward the legendary Serengeti, with time for photographs at crater-rim viewpoints. As the landscape opens into the plains, begin an en-route game drive with chances to see lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest and zebras before arriving at camp for dinner under the stars.

Spend the day exploring the Serengeti on extended game drives shaped around current sightings and the best light. For a different perspective, add a sunrise hot-air balloon safari followed by a bush breakfast, or arrange a Maasai village visit to learn about local traditions before returning to camp.

Take a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, then travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Add a visit to Olduvai Gorge Museum, known as the Cradle of Mankind, or join a ranger-guided walking safari along the crater rim for wide views across the caldera. Settle into your Karatu lodge by evening.

After an early breakfast, descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a final game drive. The crater is home to more than 30,000 animals and offers one of Tanzania’s strongest chances to see the Big Five, including black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater, then drive back to Arusha and continue to the airport for your departure.
